Stop the Developer Giveaway

Florida communities should be shaped by the people who live there, not by developer special interests and their bad developments.

But HB 1143 and SB 1342 would move power away from neighborhoods and hand it to Tallahassee bureaucrats and the biggest developers in the state.

In Florida, bad growth is out of control. HB 1143 would make it harder by stripping away local review processes that keep development transparent and accountable.

SB 1342 is even more dangerous. It’s a Trojan horse that introduces radical “15-Minute Cities” concepts into Florida law—a top-down social engineering model where technocrats decide how communities must be designed and how people are expected to live.

The "Free State" of Florida? More like San Francisco.

These bills make it easier for unpopular projects to move forward, even after residents raise concerns about traffic, overcrowded schools, strained infrastructure, and permanent neighborhood changes. Who should decide what happens in your community: you and other local voices in your area, or distant politicians and big developers?

Tell lawmakers to vote NO on HB 1143 and SB 1342.
