Legislative Alert: Apartment Buildings in Your Neighborhood?

Legislators are scheduled to vote on HB 943, granting unprecedented powers to developers to decide the future of your neighborhood—by stripping communities of the ability to make common sense zoning decisions locally.

Local decisions should be made by local voices. Not Tallahassee politicians and special interests.

Tell legislators: protect local decision-making, stop HB 943.

What Will Be Sent:

Dear Representative,

Local decision-making is essential to the American Experiment.

But HB 943 vests decisions about the future of Florida’s 411 cities, towns, and villages in the hands of unelected and unaccountable developers.

HB 943 undermines local decision-making, weakens neighborhood protections, and shifts costs to taxpayers.

It forces cities to approve incompatible developments—like high-rises adjacent to single-family homes—without public input, makes taxpayers pay for developers' costs and threatens quality of life by allowing unchecked growth.

Local decision-making empowers local leaders to plan responsibly and protect the character of their communities. HB 943 is a giveaway to developers—not a path to affordability.

Please vote NO on HB 943.

Sincerely,

Your Name
