Last month, we asked Local Voices United’s readers about the 2023 Legislative Session and if you think the Legislature should strengthen local decision-making this year. The poll results are in!
Bottomline: A clear supermajority of respondents (78%) say that local decision-making is “Very Important” to them. On the issues, nearly half of respondents stated that property insurance should be the primary focus of the Legislature this year. Respondents also believe local leaders — like Mayors and City Council members — know what is best for their communities, while also believing state and local officials should work together to solve our greatest challenges.
