What is the best reason to support local decision-making?
(Required)
Florida voters put local decision-making in the state constitution. Tallahassee should respect it.
Local communities are different, pure and simple. What works in Ft. Meade may not work in Ft. Lauderdale - and vice versa.
The best government is a balanced one - when state government starts meddling in local affairs, it upsets Florida’s system of "checks and balances" and makes government slower and less efficient.
Local communities are "laboratories of democracy." Give them the freedom to innovate and the best ideas will rise to the top.
